A BIKER involved in a serious crash in Bishopsteignton this morning has died, police have confirmed.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 20s from Teignmouth, was airlifted to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth but died later.

His next of kin have been informed.

The A381 Newton Road remains closed while police investigator examine the scene.

Closures are in place between Ware Barton and the turning to Morrisons.

Police are keen to hear from any witnesses who saw the collision between the bike and van or who was travelling along the road before the incident which happened at 9.30am.
