VANDALS caused thousands of pounds damage when they keyed eight cars in one street in Newton Abbot.

Police are investigating the attack in Prospect Terrace which was uncovered on Monday morning.

The ‘keying’ culprits struck some time between then and 7.30pm on Sunday.

A police spokesman confirmed that eight vehicles were marked along their lengths by the offenders.

One of the owners went on to a social media website to lambast the wreckers who he described as ‘mindless idiots.’

Police are appealing for information from anyone who may have seen suspicious activity in the area - or who may be able to throw some light on the identity of those responsible.
