A MOTORIST escaped unhurt after a Subaru car crashed off the road into a hedge at Ipplepen this afternoon.

Police and firefighters from Newton Abbot dealt with the single vehicle accident between Fermoy’s garden centre and the Texaco garage at Park Hill Cross on the Totnes-bound carriageway of the A381.

Minor congestion was caused to rush-hour traffic.

The accident happened just before 4.30pm.
