WITNESSES are being sought after a woman was allegedly attacked by others in a Newton Abbot pub.

The victim, in her 30s, claims she was ‘slapped about the head’ several times by another woman and her friends at Bar 7 overnight on Friday.

She was subsequently taken by ambulance to Torbay Hospital for treatment to a head injury.

Police and paramedics were alerted some time after the incident, attending an address in the Cricketfield Road area just after 3am on Saturday.

A police spokesman said anyone with information should email officers on 101@dc.police.uk or by ringing 101, quoting log number 151 of June 10.
