A WOMAN needed treatment for smoke inhalation after a fire in a tumble dryer at Warrens Bakery in Teignmouth this morning (Wednesday).
One fire engine from Teignmouth, one fire engine from Dawlish, and one aerial ladder platform from Torquay were mobilised to reports of a fire in a commercial tumble dryer at the bakery in Wellington Road, Teignmouth.
A spokesperson for the Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said: ‘Crews used breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire, and then a thermal image camera to check for hotspots and a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear the property.
‘One female casualty was treated by Ambulance Personnel for smoke inhalation.’
