PURDY the cat - who’s had a rough ride finding a home for the last 18 months - has had her prayers answered...just in time for Christmas.

The poor little thing made a last-ditch effort to be re-homed from her accommodation at Ipplepen’s Animals and Distress centre earlier this month.

And her direct appeal for help hit the mark with delighted staff confirming yesterday that Purdy was packing her bags for a new and exciting life in the bosom of a caring family who are happy to be sharing their festive fun with her.

‘She’s going to her new home this weekend,’ said a thrilled spokeswoman for the charity.
