THE Teignmouth Bells Project, which aims to raise £60,000 for the rehanging of the eight bells of the church of St Michael the Archangel in Teignmouth, is holding four fundraising events in the next two months.

On Sunday, June 15, there will be a combined cream tea and songs of praise in the idyllic gardens of Shell Cove House, Old Teignmouth Road, Dawlish, just opposite John Nash Drive.

The ticket-only cream tea, from 3pm to 4.30pm, will cost £3 per person. The songs of praise, led by the Rev Helen Bays, will be free, but there will be a collection.

Harmony 400, the Teignmouth-based handbell ringers with a national reputation, will be performing in a concert on Saturday, June 28, at St Michael's Church starting at 7.30pm, with tickets at £6.

On Thursday, July 10, the band of the Devon & Cornwall Constabulary will also be at St Michael's, in a concert starting at 7.30pm. Tickets will be available soon.

The Viva Singers, led by Rachel Smith, will give a concert at St Michael's at 7.30pm on Saturday, July 26. Again, tickets will be available soon.

Tickets can be purchased from Victoria Wine in Wellington Street, Teignmouth, or by telephoning Alan Furse on 01626 772663, or by asking any Teignmouth ringer.
