A YOUNG man suffered facial injuries during an assault at Newton Abbot’s Enigma nightclub.

The 20-year-old casualty was taken by ambulance to Torbay Hospital for treatment after a disturbance at the venue early on Sunday.

Police and paramedics attended the scene just after 2am. A police spokesman said officers were investigating an allegation of actual bodily harm.

He revealed that CCTV footage of an incident involving door staff would be examined.
