A court has heard how a tenant from Newton Abbot killed his landlord after finding the man naked making love to the defendant's girlfriend.
Bryan Harris, aged 45, told a jury at Exeter Crown Court he was 'defending his dignity' as he punched and kicked Paul Drury, attacking him because he felt angry and betrayed.
Harris had lived as a vagrant for almost all his adult life but believed he had found love and stability with new partner Dawn Lewis, he told the court.
Harris, of Valley Path, Newton Abbot, denies murdering Mr Drury and also denies causing grievous bodily harm with intent to Miss Lewis.
He has said he assaulted her during the incident last November.
