POLICE are appealing for information after more than 80 lambs were reported missing from a farm in Kenn.

The farmer discovered the 81 animals were missing when the flock were brought in for shearing on Tuesday, July 22.

Although the sheep had been fed daily, a significant drop in numbers was only noticed during the mass gathering.

The missing livestock include Suffolk, Charollais and Texel lambs, as well as crosses between the breeds.

Officers said the lambs are larger than most commercial animals.

They are not ear-tagged, but most are marked with red paint, while a smaller number have green or black markings.

Police are keen to hear from anyone who lives or works in the Kenn area and may have seen suspicious activity over the past five or six weeks.

This includes sightings of livestock trailers or lorries, or anyone gathering or moving sheep.

Anyone with information, relevant CCTV or dashcam footage, or who witnessed anything unusual is asked to contact Devon & Cornwall Police on 101 or via the force website, quoting reference 50260193233
