ASHBURTON will be home to a charity pop-up coffee shop later in the month.

Local entrepreneur Emma Hayman, who has won many awards for her Cornwall-based coffee shops enterprise, is hosting the event this morning for Macmillan Cancer Support, in memory of her father.

Her father John Douglas passed away in August this year.

Emma who grew up in Ashburton said: ‘I have been overwhelmed by the support we have received from local businesses and the community.

‘It promises to be a huge event with masses of delicious cake eaten in the name of charity.’

There will also be a raffle taking place with prizes including afternoon tea, carvery, theatre tickets, cookery course, champagne afternoon tea and gardening work.

To find out more about the event and to donate time, cake or a prize get in touch with Emma via Facebook and follow the event’s page at The Pop-Up Coffee Shop – Ashburton.

The fundraiser is taking place at 22 North Street, opposite the town hall, from 9.30am.
