A MAN detained by police after the death of a baby boy in Newton Abbot has been released on bail.
The 27-year-old was arrested by officers investigating the death of an eight-months-old child at a property in Brownhills Road on the Broadlands estate on Wednesday.
A police spokesman said today: ‘The man has now been released on police bail until early August while we make further enquiries.’
He added: ‘The circumstances of the child’s death continue to be investigated and are being viewed as unexplained rather than suspicious.’
