A mother is one of three people arrested after the death of an eight-month-old baby in Kingsteignton last month.

Two women, aged 20 and 54, and a 25-year- old man were arrested on suspicion of alleged child neglect.

They have been released on police bail until September 30, pending further investigations.

Police did not release details of the incident until this week.

They say that they have not ruled out death occurring through natural causes.

'Just before 9am on Tuesday, July 20, officers attended an address in Kingsteignton, having been alerted to the death of an eight-month-old baby,' said Bill Pascoe, Devon and Cornwall Police spokesman.
