A GROUP of Teignmouth traders have banded together to raise money for a local charity that provides treats and presents for children and young adults suffering from cancer.
They are backing the Dawlish-based Richard’s Wish, set up by the parents of Richard Cridge who died eight years ago aged 17.
John Pearce, who recently took over the Jolly Good Fish Cafe in Teignmouth has supported many good causes over the years in his previous town, and wants to do the same here. He enlisted the help of Greenwood Accountancy, Dicey Reilly’s and the Smugglers Inn, to sponsor a raffle.
The charity has raised well over £100,000 over the years to buy presents such as laptops, iPads and many other goodies for cancer suffers up to the age of 35 throughout Devon.
