A BANNED driver who was caught driving at Stover Country Park in Newton Abbot has been jailed.

Wayne Robert Land, aged 44, of Blandford Road, Efford, changed his plea to guilty of driving a Ford Mondeo while disqualified.

Land was sent to prison for 16 weeks with South and West Devon Magistrates' Court saying: ‘Reason: Offence so serious because he drove seven months after last disqualification and previous relevant disqualifications show a disregard for previous court orders and ignorance of current orders.’

He was banned from holding a licence for four years and must also pay £135 costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and £154 to fund victim services.
