TWO fire appliances from Newton Abbot were sent to a report of a fire involving a barbecue Woodleigh Road in the town ysterday (Tuesday).

A spokesperson for the Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said: ‘On arrival crews confirmed that the fire had originally started from the barbecue and had spread to the edge of a conservatory.

‘Cladding was slightly damaged by fire and heat.

‘To extinguish is the fire crews used one hose reel jet, a thermal image camera and a flexi camera.’
