TEIGNMOUTH councillors are trying to save three of the resort's public loos from closure.
Teignbridge Council wants to shut the trio to save money and just keep two open.
But the town council reckons it could run all five much cheaper because of lower overheads.
On the hit list are Brunswick Street, Eastcliff car park and Lower Brook Street, near Waitrose, with the Beachcomber and Jubilee shelter being retained.
It costs Teignbridge about £133,000 a year to operate all five and keeping just two open would be £85,000.
