A MOTORCYCLIST has died in a two vehicle accident at Shaldon on Tuesday afternoon.

Devon and Cornwall Police have confirmed the death of the man in his 30s.

A police spokesperson said: ‘At 1.10pm on Tuesday emergency services were notified of a two vehicle road traffic collision involving a white LGV recycling lorry and a green Kawasaki motorcycle on the A379 Teignmouth Road, Shaldon, Teignmouth.

‘The male rider of the motorcycle, was pronounced deceased at the scene and next of kin have been informed. The road was closed in both directions whilst a forensic examination collision scene was conducted.

‘Officers from the Roads Policing Team attended are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the collision, either vehicle prior to the collision or have dash camera footage to contact police, quoting the log number 325 07/04/20.

The road was open later in the day.
