Rogue motorcyclists breaking on to private land at Teigngrace are causing thousands of pounds damage and endangering a project to restore precious heathland.
They are also riding on the roads using unlicensed and untaxed vehicles, often two-up and without helmets or protective clothing.
An added danger comes from their straying on to a working clay processing plant.
The problem is not a new one but has intensified in the past two months.
Now there are fears that with the summer holidays the situation could get even worse and the level of damage escalate.
At the heart of the matter is a group of youths who persistently break down fences on land belonging to minerals firm Sibelco at Higher Brocks Plantation.
