Work to get business back to usual is on track at a Newton Abbot factory rocked by an explosion last week.

Emergency services rushed to Teignbridge Propellers on Thursday morning after one of the firm's crucibles exploded and fire broke out.

Three staff suffered burns. one requiring treatment at Frenchay Hospital, Bristol, to remove shrapnel from his wounds.

No sooner had firefighters got the situation under control and the Health and Safety Executive had given the go ahead, staff began a rapid clean-up operation and restarted production in those parts of the complex unaffected by the blast.
