A BODY has been found by police after a search for a missing Newton Abbot man.

Officers located the body on Saturday, May 10.

The family of 34-year-old Sean Garrod, who had been reported missing from Newton Abbot on May 4, have been informed of this development, the Mid-Devon Advertiser understands.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: ‘Formal identification is yet to take place.

‘The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner’.
