A theatre in Teignmouth has postponed its screening of an exhibition of Michelangelo’s paintings and sculptures this evening (Friday May 23) as it has been forced to close due to the suspected mine on Teignmouth seafront.
The Pavilions Teignmouth was due to show ‘Exhibition On Screen Encore: Michelangelo – Love and Death at 7pm.
However, the building has been evacuated because of a suspected landmine on the nearby beach at Teignmouth.
‘The screening tonight is not going ahead,’ said Pavilions Teignmouth box office and marketing co-ordinator Dawn Roberts. Box office staff are contacting ticket holders to advise them of the postponement.
‘We will be rescheduling and we will update our website with the new date once that has been confirmed,’ Dawn added.
