AN Ashburton shop which has attracted nationwide and occasionally global custom for nearly half a century will close its doors for good at the end of the month.
The final chapter in the life of the Dartmoor Bookshop in Kingsbridge Lane will reach its sad climax on February 28.
Owners Andy Collins and Brenda Greysmith are saying goodbye to the genteel world of dusty volumes after finally deciding to call it a day.
They have been trading from the car park location since buying the business from Barbara and Paul Heatley in 2006.
