Commuters and tourists to the moor face lengthy detours while the B3387 Haytor Road is shut for water mains works.

The road is closed to vehicles between Five Wytches and the Edgemoor Hotel, although it remains open for pedestrians and cyclists.

Contractors expect the work to last 10 days.
