A NATIONAL survey has listed the best places for a romantic Valentine’s break, and sitting at number two is Bovey Tracey.

Pipped to the post by Beverley in East Yorkshire, Bovey was selected by self-catering specialist Hoseasons as one of the sexiest spots for a Valentine’s break on a shoestring.

The full Top 10 Towns are:

1. Beverley (East Yorkshire)

2. Bovey Tracey (Devon)

3. Cheddar (Somerset)

4. Bassenthwaite (Cumbria)

5. Great Yarmouth (Norfolk)

6. Thirsk (North Yorkshire)

7. St Columb Major (Cornwall)

8. Bude (Cornwall)

9. Ryde and Seaview (Isle of White)

10. Wimborne (Dorset)

Commenting on the data, Paul Evans of Hoseasons said of the poll’s results: ‘Interestingly, when it comes to making the booking, almost three quarters of women made Valentine’s bookings this year. 

‘Hot tub bookings for a romantic break are also on the rise compared to last year, with 61 per cent of bookings featuring the all-important hot tub this Valentine’s.’
