A policewoman who lives in Kingsteignton has received an award for safely tackling a mother holding a knife to her child's throat.
PC Emma Osborne, together with colleague PC Kennie Knowles, showed courage in handling the 'dangerous' incident in Exeter's Topsham Road last summer.
Both officers were awarded the Commander's Certificate for their heroics at a police awards ceremony at the city's Guildhall.
