The regeneration of Broadmeadow can at last begin after multi-million pound plans for a hotel, new homes and work units were given the green light this week.
The scheme is set to transform the gateway to Teignmouth as the old Dairy Crest depot and land around it is redeveloped to provide a 60-bed hotel, 33 apartments, offices and workshops.
The project is the brainchild of local man Barry Dodge and represents the first concrete steps in a long-held ambition to regenerate the rundown area.
