A BURST water main cut off the supply to around 385 homes yesterday (Sunday).
A spokesperson for South West Water said: ‘We were made aware of a burst main at Mapleton Close in Newton Abbot yesterday morning (Sunday, January 3).
‘Approximately 385 properties were initially affected but this was reduced to 19 properties once the network was revalved.
‘The repair was complete and all customer supplies were restored by 6.45pm the same day.’
A post on Facebook from Spotted Newton Abbot accompanying this picture said: ‘SWW opened the valve to release pressure to assist on the leak up by Dyrons.’
