UPDATE: Following a major burst burst in Woodleigh Road, Bradley Barton, Newton Abbot, supplies are expected to be retuned by 6pm.

The burst appears to have stopped supplies for Bradley Barton, part of Bradley Valley, Ashburton Road near the park and up into Highweek, Broadlands Estate and possibly part of Bradley Lane.

A spokesman for South West Water said: 'We are working to repair a burst main on Woodleigh Road in Newton Abbot.

'We are using a tanker to supply all but 11 properties with water and bottled water is available to any customers who require it.

'Affected customers are being updated via text message.

'The repair is expected to be finished and all customers’ water supplies restored by 6pm today.

'Any traffic management will be removed later today following the reinstatement of the excavation works.

'We apologise for any inconvenience this has caused.'
