ASHBURTON’S post office which rode to the rescue of the town’s closure-doomed library is doing the same for its dwindling bank business.

Efforts are underway for the St Lawrence Lane facility to help fill the vacuum left by this week’s closure of Lloyds Bank – the last remaining High Street bank in the town.
