A POPULAR Teignmouth pub that staged a summer mini-music festival, has suddenly closed.

The Cellars Bar on the seafront had been opening erratically lately, and the tenants, who only took over a short time ago, have now left.

A spokesman for the owners, St Austell Brewery, said the lease had expired, and the leaseholders had a new pub to move to. It was hoped a new landlord would be appointed in mid-January.
