MORE than 70 jobs look set to be lost to the district despite troubled window manufacturer AGS Home Improvements finding buyers.

Last week the Newton Abbot firm, established in 1974, denied it had gone into administration but said a new owner had been found and that jobs would be safe if the media stopped asking questions.

Later it emerged insolvency experts had been called in and all 125 workers laid off.

Better news developed on Wednesday when a buyer was confirmed for AGS' Crown Aluminium division.
