TOWN councillors in Kingsteignton battled it out with staff from Tesco in a Shrove Tuesday pancake race.

The event, which took place in the Tesco car park, involved two teams from the town council.

Cllrs Ron Peart, Dave Rollason and Anne Lonsdale came second in the series of races.
