A LEASE covering the historic Stover Canal has been completed after ten years of talks.Negotiations between Network Rail, Teignbridge Council and The Stover Canal Trust were finalised on Thursday last week. And John Ellis, committee member of the Stover Canal Society – which has been instrumental in the transfer of the lease – said: 'We now have to move on and with continued help and support we want to complete the restoration of this historic waterway into a new public amenity for all to enjoy.'
