FIREFIGHTERS from Bovey Tracey and Buckfastleigh were called into action Sunday night following reports of a car fire on Dartmoor.

Crews attended Bonehill Down at around 7pm on December 21.

A car had caught fire accidentally.

And despite the crew’s best efforts, the vehicle was ‘100 per cent damaged by fire’, the Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service has said.

Two fire engines were in attendance, with crews utilising: four Breathing apparatus; a hose reel jet with foam; hydraulic equipment; small tools and an environment absorption mat

Devon Highways also attended and Dartmoor rangers were notified.
