A YOUNG man was injured when his car flipped over on its roof after a collision with another near Newton Abbot this morning.

The casualty, in his early 20s and from Newton Abbot, suffered chest pains and cuts to his leg.

He was also treated for shock after the accident in Denbury Road near its junction with the Totnes road at Ogwell Cross at 10.30am.

A police spokesman said his Vauxhall Corsa was in collision with a Citroen Berlingo, also registered to Newton Abbot.

He added that the injured man would be reported for allegedly driving without care.
