A TEIGNMOUTH care worker was slapped with a £100 fine for parking outside the home of a client.

Sarah Hanks used the woman's parking bay at St James' House, and put a notice on the windscreen to explain who she was and what she was doing.

But because she did not display the proper permit, her car was booked, and an appeal against the penalty was rejected.

Now both Mrs Hanks and her client, 87-year-old Irene Ward, are furious at the way she was treated by Premier Parking Solutions at the Teign Housing apartments.
