CHRISTMAS is coming to a Dartmoor village with carol singing at its community apple orchard.

The event at Widecombe-in-the-Moor’s Jubilee Orchard takes place at 6pm on Tuesday, December 9.

There will be classic carols, a bonfire and, of course, good company.

The Jubilee Orchard was planted in 2023 in an area previously known as the parish field.

The field was gifted to the parish in 1983 by Sir William Van Straubenzee.

Each tree of the Jubilee Orchard was sponsored by a member of the community, raising £2,000 for the initiative.

Pupils from Widecombe school helped plant the trees.
