Dartmoor’s own performing arts organisation MED Theatre is on the lookout for community actors a forthcoming outdoor production.

This new original play written by MED Theatre staff is part of River Teign Restoration Project and will explore both human and natural themes, including the declining number of fish, most prominently salmon and brown trout, in the River Teign.

Performances will take place on September 4 and 5 with rehearsals being carried out throughout the summer, and no previous experience is required.

The play will also take on themes of mental health, particularly in rural areas, and how interactions with nature can improve our wellbeing as the human impact on the declining health of our rivers.

Anyone interested in performing in this exciting outdoor production should contact MED Theatre’s education officer Helen Gilbert on [email protected] or phone 01647 441356.
