POLICE investigating the death of a Ukrainian teenager in Dawlish are appealing for CCTV and doorbell footage to get in touch. 

The 14-year-old girl’s death is being treated as unexplained and officers are asking anyone who may have footage which could help their inquiries to come forward. 

The appeal follows the discovery of the girl’s body on the beach at Dawlish this weekend.

Officers are continuing to look into the circumstances surrounding the girl’s death.

Police were alerted on Saturday when the girl was reported missing.

Later, an unconscious person was found on Dawlish Beach.

She was airlifted to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital where she later died. 

Formal identification has taken place and next of kin have been informed.

The girl has been confirmed to be a Ukrainian nation who had been living in the Dawlish area. 

Her death is currently being treated as unexplained.
