SINGERS from the Alice Cross Centre, Teignmouth, have released their first compilation CD.br>Masterminded by songwriter Nick Mansell, of Countryclass Music, and helped by Jenny Grice, the 15-track CD is being sold to raise funds for the centre.br>Centre users were encouraged to pick a track and record it, resulting in the CD called The Alice in Song – That's What Friends Are For.br>Tracks include Rose of Tralee, Cabaret, Over The Rainbow, That's Life and the title track. br>Centre manager Julia Cross said: 'Our users were only too happy to show off their talents with their lovely versions of some favourite songs and produce this fantastic CD for their friends and family to share.br>'We hope it will be the first of many more.br>'Fundraising is such a key part of keeping the centre going and we need to be creative with the new ideas we come up with which is why we are so thankful to Nick and Jenny for the original idea and donating their time to produce this CD for us.'br>The CD is available from the Alice Cross Centre and costs £5.
