TO the joy of many, an outdoor, community swimming pool is to open for the 2023 season this coming Saturday, but not before the Chairman of the pool gives his thanks to the volunteers who helped get it summer ready.

Bovey Tracey Swimming Pool is gearing up to welcome back eager swimmers on Saturday, April 29, but not before a team of dedicated volunteers gave the community resource a tidy up.

Their efforts were rightly praised by Committee Chairman, Martin Brealey.

Martin said: 'I would just like to thank everyone who supported the volunteer clean up at our pool this morning [Sunday, April 23].

'It was a fantastic effort and we are well on our way to opening our doors on Saturday.

'We are very blessed with the support the pool receives from our community and long may this continue.'
