TEIGNMOUTH residents are to have a chance to quiz their councillors on a variety of issues.

A ‘meet and greet’ event is being held at bitton House on Saturday, December 5, and it is hoped most town councillors will be there to answer questions.

It is the initiative of Cllr Geoff Bladon, chairman of the finance and general purposes committee, who said: ‘Councillors would love to hear about the public’s ideas for improving Teignmouth, and they will also endeavour to answer any questions’.

Tracey Higgs, town clerk, added: ‘The council has adopted a priorities and objectives document, and one of these is to improve councillors’ engagement with the community. We very much look forward to meeting as many people as possible.’

Refreshments will be served at Bitton House, which is disability friendly with parking on site.
