SHALDON Sailing Club is holding a taster session for anybody wanting to experience dinghy sailing for the first time, or to return after a break from the sport.

‘If you would like to have a go then just turn up on Shaldon Beach on Sunday, June 26, in suitable clothing and footwear that could get wet’, said a club spokesman.

‘Bring a buoyancy aid if you have one, but there will also be a selection available to borrow. The sessions will be between 4pm and 6pm. Experienced sailors will be on hand to take you out for a sail, and a rescue boat will be on the water in case it is needed. If you are able to sail there will be a dinghy for you to use.’
