AN animal rescue charity based at Seale Hayne, Newton Abbot, has said goodbye to more than one hundred of its hedgehogs this week as temperatures improve.

Having nursed the hogs back to rude health, ELM Wildlife released 107 of its patients back into the wild this week.

A spokesman for ELM Wildlife said: 'Most of these hedgehogs came into us as autumn juveniles and are now healthy strong hedgehogs ready to live their best life in the wild where they belong!'

Among the hogs beginning their new life in the wild were Harris, Zelda, Sheldon, Fern, Ziggy, Scampy and Coco.

ELM Wildlife wishes them, as well as the remaining one hundred, well on their forthcoming wild adventures.
