East Street, Ashburton, has a new charity shop, opened by Teignbridge councillor Paul Parker, on Tuesday.
The Brainwave shop helps raise money for brain injured children.
'I feel honoured that I was asked to open it,' said Cllr Parker, who represents Ashburton and Buckfastleigh ward.
'The shop was originally based there, then it relocated and now it's back where it was. Staff seem pleased as it's a lot better location.
'It's a great charity and it's good that we can raise awareness for the cause.'
