STAFF at Ipplepen’s Animals in Distress are getting muddy to help homeless animals.

They’re joining together with supporters to complete the River Dart Mud and Sweat Run.

The team will tackle 5km of mud and obstacles around the River Dart Country Park on October 15.

Esme Chamberlain, community and events fundraiser, said: ‘Our unlikely team – none of whom are regular runners - have decided to put themselves through this challenge, risking bruises and hypothermia, all for the love of the animals.

‘Please do support us, and the animals in our care, by sponsoring us.

‘If anyone would like to join us and take part in the run, there is still time – please call us to ask about joining our team.’
