Around 350 artistic youngsters from the Bovey Tracey area have been showing off their creative skills by taking part in a design-a-banner competition.

The contest has been organised as part of Bovey Tracey's 750th charter celebrations.

'Storyteller Clive Pig visited the Bovey Tracey Primary School and told them about the history of the town and that really gave the pupils inspiration. We had about 300 from the school,' said Terry Westwood, town clerk of Bovey Tracey Town Council.
