NOTHING quite marks an occasion quite like a commemorative mug, which is all to well as that's what is on offer for children of one Teignbridge village.

Shaldon Parish Council would like to give each child of the parish a special, Coronation-themed mug to mark the occasion.

The mugs will be available for collection at the Methodist Hall on Saturday, April 29, from 11am to 1 pm and on Wednesday, May 3 from 7pm to 9pm.

A spokesman for Shaldon Parish Council said: 'The council would like as many mugs as possible collected on these two dates, as it will be a busy day for the Council, but if you are unable to make either of the above dates they will be available on the day [Of Coronation].'
