TWO children were rescued by firefighters after a faulty toaster filled their Buckfastleigh holiday home with smoke.
The youngsters, aged seven and nine, were told by neighbours to stay in their loft-converted bedroom on the third floor while a trio of fire crews went to the scene in Sherwell Court just after 10.30am on Tuesday.
It emerged that the childrens' dad had popped out of the house to buy some butter for the toast.
